In most cases, yes. New Mexico Medicaid (Centennial Care) covers non-emergency medical transportation for eligible members going to covered medical appointments. When you reach out, we'll verify your eligibility and let you know what your costs will be — usually nothing out of pocket.
How far in advance do I need to book?
For routine appointments, we ask for at least 48 hours' notice. For recurring rides like dialysis, once you're on our schedule you don't need to call every time — we'll be there unless you tell us otherwise.
Will you wait for me while I'm at my appointment?
Yes. For long appointments like dialysis or chemotherapy, your driver will be available to bring you home when you're done. We coordinate with you and the facility so you're never left stranded.
Can a family member or caregiver ride with me?
In many cases, yes — space permitting and depending on your Medicaid plan's policies. Let us know when you fill out the form and we'll work it out together.
What if I use a walker or cane?
Our vans accommodate walkers, canes, and folding wheelchairs. We also assist you getting in and out of the vehicle. Just note it in the form so the driver knows to expect it.
Can my family reach the driver during the trip?
